The climate of Houston is referred to as humid subtropical. According to weather records, August is the warmest month and January is the coldest month. The city of Houston receives around 1,264mm of rainfall in a calendar year. During the spring season, Houston city witnesses tornadoes and occasional tropical cyclones.

Summers are warm and humid even the autumn season is relatively quite warm. The winter season is the best time for tourists and to travel around the city as the temperature during this period is relatively mild and temperate. Lastly, the spring season is also pleasant however this is when the tornadoes are common as mentioned before.
